Lola's 100 word challenge.

The prompt this week was to write 'A letter in a bottle.' We had to write words of encouragement to the people of the Phillipines after the terrible Typhoon Haiyan. I have heard about the disaster and I hope that you are all ok. I have seen lots of people raising money for you so that you can stay healthy. I know that you might have lost your homes and the ones that you loved. I hope that you haven't lost your schools too. Just be brave. We are doing all we can to get your country back together and we are so so sorry to see you so so sad. I'd just like to say, do you need anything to help you? I would also like to say be brave and I hope you keep safe.

Daisy's 100 word challenge

To all of the Phillipines, I know there's been a big disaster but it's going to be okay. The terrible typhoon has destroyed a lot of things. Some homes, some love, but don't feel worried and sad. I've seen lots of people raising money just for you. Have courage and be brave and you'll be okay. I know a lot of trees have been broken, but not enough to stop you breathing. So do you need anything? Because if you do just call us. You will be ok, yes you'll be fine.

Firefighters visit - Lola, Lauren and Meg

Today we had a very brilliant day because we had the fire service to are school. We got to have a quiz on these cool phones and we got to go in the fire engine. And we got to sit in the front, and we got to dress up as a fire-fighter it was really fun just before we went we got to use some of the hoses and even Mrs Round had a go at the hoses. We learnt a lot of facts like if you have a fire on you roll over on the floor and the fire will go out also the fire-fighters work for getting people and animals down from trees . Also you and your family have to have a plan so when you have a fire you will be able to get out quickly so you do not get burnt or hurt .It was a great day and I wish that it never ended. We have now started to complete the 100 word challenge. The prompt for this week was:
Here is Finlay's entry: It was a wet, soggy and rainy day and the drain was looking like fun. She decided to go next to it thinking something would happen. Suddenly it came up and landed down on her. Oh how worried she was. The look on her face! How she drowned like a fish begging for its prey. Her feet on top of the water. As she floated in the water. She slowly suffocated as her lips dried.

Charlie S' 5 sentence challenge!

As the silver snake was sliding through the green leaves he saw a man eating sausages on a grey rock, the man smiled at the snake, the snake looked angry. The man said to the snake "Do you want any sausages?" "No," said the snake crossly and the snake slid away. Suddenly he heard a noise, quickly he got into some bushes to hide from a massive lion. The lion didn't see him in the prickly bush, he slid out of the bush and slid back home to his little hut far away from the jungle, but the man was still in the jungle!

Daisy's 5 sentence challenge

This week we had to include the words 'silly, silver, snake, sausages and smiled' in our writing... "What's for tea Mum?" asked Lucy. "Sausages are tonight darling!" replied Mum. Lucy and Mum were walking in the jungle. "Look Mum!" shouted Lucy clearly, "there's a silver, silly snake!" Lucy was at school, everyone was in the hall for the school photo. Everyone said "Cheese!" as they smiled. One day, three silly monkeys were eating bananas! "These bananas are yummy!" said one. "They sure are," replied another. One dinner time a snake that was silver was eating sausages!

Meg's 5 sentence challenge

I was walking along the street then I stepped on something, it was a ticket to the moon! Four days later I was on the moon-it felt like I was standing on a huge rock, I even had a picnic. Meanwhile my mum was wondering where I was. We went back and halfway there we fell and fell and landed in my house. I loved my trip to the moon.

Imaginative writing!

Last week, Megan H did some super writing about this picture! We thought she used her imagination brilliantly...what do you think? Once upon a time there was a very big pot. But don't be fooled by its look, it can be very powerful and it is powered by the crystal heart.
